Now that we have started our fitness program, let’s move on to the next step in looking our best this summer. Let’s talk about skin care basics and how to get the most out of spa dollards and facials experience. While researching various spas and reading negative feedbacks on city guide sites can be a little scary, there are a few ways to learn whether you have chosen the right spa. If you can answer with a yes to all of the following questions then you are currently getting a great facial.
- Did your aesthetician remove any makeup from your face and then apply a gentle scrub?
- Was this scrub followed by a massage?
- Did your aesthetician use a steam machine before extractions?
- Was the steam machine experience relaxing?
- Did your aesthetician use gloves or an extraction tool to remove any black or whiteheads?
- Did the extraction experience leave no more temporary redness or a tiny scab where an extraction took place?
- Was the extraction followed by a mask for at least 10 minutes?
- Was the mask followed by another cleansing and a moisturizer?

To help our readers look their best this summer, Style Me NYC has put together a series of short step by step guides from “how to maintain beautiful and healthy looking skin” to “how to shop for the best summer bag”. Almost eight weeks till the summer. If you want to look your best, it is now or never. Just follow the following simple steps for your favorite workout and you will be feeling and looking great in no time.
Step 1 - Minute 1 thru 3: Warm up at a 5 (moderate) intensity level.
Step 2 - Minute 4: Increase intensity level t o 6 Step 3 - Minute 5: Increase intensity level to 7
Step 4 - Minute 6: Increase intensity level to 8
Step 5 - Minute 7: Increase intensity level to 9
Step 6 - Minute 8: Go back to intensity level 6 Step 7 - Minute 9-11: Repeat step 3 thru 5
Step 8 - Minute 12-16: Repeat step 2 thru 5
Step 9 - Minute 17: Increase intensity level to 10
Step 10-Minute 18-20: Go back to intensity level 5 Tips: Don’t forget to stretch. For a more efficient work out drink lots of water throughout the day and try to workout in the morning at least three times a week.
